Sara has taught preschool for the past 8 years and has worked in education for the past 15 years. When Sara's father passed away, Sara wanted to honor the kid in all of us and the idea for PLAYSpace was born. Sara and her family want everyone to have fun in this space while learning and playing.
Many families struggle to find ways to spend quality time together in today's over-scheduled society. Between school, work, homework and after school activities, the time a child has for free play and unstructured activities has declined by 12 hours a week in the past 20 years. The time a family is able to just purely spend time with each other has also reduced in a parallel pattern. The benefits of quality family time can include greater academic success, social and emotional learning gains, as well as stress relief. Sara saw this gap and wanted to do something about it. After her father passed away she decided to open PLAYSpace as a place for families to spend quality time and learn together away from the technology.
PLAYSpace is for anyone who is looking for affordable, unique, creative, and imaginative play for the children in their lives. PLAYSpace has sprung from the strong desire of Sara and her family to create a space where children can explore a variety of skills and experience pure, safe, FUN!
